Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Sumo Software, Business ID 3603811-5, operating as a registered sole trader (toiminimi) and providing the All Dog Parks app and related services ("All Dog Parks," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data.

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our privacy practices, contact us at support@alldogparks.app.

1. Scope and Controller

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • the All Dog Parks mobile application
  • our related websites and pages, including https://alldogparks.app/privacy, https://alldogparks.app/terms, and https://alldogparks.app/data/deletion
  • customer support, moderation, trust-and-safety, subscription, analytics, and service communications related to All Dog Parks

For users in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and similar jurisdictions, Sumo Software is the controller of personal data processed under this Privacy Policy, except where a third-party service acts as an independent controller under its own terms.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information depending on how you use the service.

A. Account and identity information

  • your account identifier and Firebase Authentication user ID
  • sign-in provider information from Apple, Google, Facebook, email/password, anonymous sign-in, or other supported login providers
  • your email address, display name, profile image, and similar profile metadata if provided by you or your authentication provider
  • legal acceptance records, including whether you accepted the Terms and acknowledged this Privacy Policy, the accepted version, and timestamp

B. Dog profile, social, and community information

  • dog profiles, dog images, dog biography details, and related media you create
  • favorites, follows, blocks, sharing relationships, privacy settings, and profile visibility settings
  • direct messages, park-board messages, message images, reports, support requests, and support attachments
  • moderation warnings, enforcement history, safety review records, and related case records
  • copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property complaints, takedown requests, counter-notices, related communications, and repeat-infringer records

C. Park activity and location-related information

  • park views, favorites, search/filter actions, queue actions, check-ins, check-outs, and visited-park status
  • approximate profile location, such as country, region, city, or coordinates you choose or allow the app to derive
  • precise device location when you grant device permission, including coordinates used to show nearby parks, verify park visits or check-ins, support location-based features, and prevent abuse
  • park coordinates and local time information used to operate park pages, maps, visit distribution, and park contribution features

You can control precise location permission through your device settings. If you deny or revoke precise location permission, some location-based features may not work or may be less accurate.

D. Device, app, security, and diagnostic information

  • device and app identifiers, including Firebase installation or app instance identifiers where applicable
  • push notification tokens and notification topic or preference data
  • app version, build number, operating system, platform, locale, and similar technical metadata
  • crash reports, performance diagnostics, non-fatal error data, and reliability signals if you enable those features or where collection is required to keep the service secure
  • app security and abuse-prevention signals, including Firebase App Check, rate-limit records, hashed identifiers, and authentication diagnostic events

E. Subscription and billing information

  • subscription and product identifiers
  • purchase status, renewal status, expiration status, ownership linkage, and entitlement status
  • receipt verification data, original transaction identifiers, app-store notification data, and related records needed to validate purchases, administer Plus access, and prevent fraud

We do not store your full payment card details. Payments are processed by Apple, Google, or their payment providers.

F. Analytics, performance, and crash-reporting information

We use consent-gated Firebase Analytics. If you explicitly allow analytics, we may collect product analytics events such as screen views, feature usage, onboarding completion, and subscription funnel events. Analytics collection is disabled by default until you grant consent in the app.

If you grant analytics consent, Firebase Performance Monitoring may collect app performance and network timing data to help us improve reliability. Crash reporting is controlled separately in the app where available and may include crash traces, device/app state, logs, and diagnostics needed to investigate failures.

G. Automated safety and moderation information

We may use automated and manual tools to protect the service and enforce our Terms. For example:

  • images may be analyzed for adult, violent, racy, medical, or other unsafe content
  • message text may be analyzed for toxicity, sexual content, profanity, violence, personal contact details, spam, abuse, or other policy violations
  • moderation systems may store decisions, categories, timestamps, reviewer notes, hashes, and enforcement history

3. How We Use Information

  • create, authenticate, and maintain your account
  • operate social, messaging, park, dog, map, moderation, support, and subscription features
  • show nearby parks, verify check-ins, manage queues, process visited-park features, and support park contributions
  • personalize core app functionality, such as showing relevant dogs, parks, and activity
  • send transactional, safety, moderation, account, support, and push notifications
  • provide customer support and respond to reports or requests
  • enforce our Terms of Service and community rules
  • process copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property complaints, counter-notices, repeat-infringer reviews, and related disputes
  • detect abuse, fraud, spam, unauthorized access, scraping, platform misuse, or policy violations
  • verify purchases and administer Plus access
  • improve reliability, performance, and features where you have consented to analytics or enabled diagnostics
  • maintain security, audit, backup, and operational records
  • comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes

4. Legal Bases for Processing

If you are in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, or another jurisdiction requiring a legal basis, we generally rely on one or more of the following:

  • Contract: to provide the app, account, dog profiles, messaging, park features, subscriptions, support, and other requested services.
  • Legitimate interests: to keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fraud, moderate content, maintain reliability, understand non-sensitive operational usage, defend legal claims, and protect users, animals, property, and the service.
  • Consent: for optional analytics, precise device location where required, optional crash reporting where required, push notifications where required, and similar optional settings.
  • Legal obligations: to comply with accounting, consumer protection, law-enforcement, regulatory, tax, app-store, and other legal requirements.

You may withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.

5. Analytics, Crash Reporting, and Privacy Choices

All Dog Parks uses Firebase Analytics only after you explicitly grant consent in the app. You can:

  • grant analytics consent after onboarding or later in Privacy & Safety settings
  • withdraw analytics consent at any time in Privacy & Safety settings
  • request deletion of analytics data linked to your account through in-app privacy controls where available

Withdrawing analytics consent stops future analytics collection on that device. It does not necessarily delete data already processed before withdrawal unless you separately request deletion. Analytics deletion requests may require processing by the analytics provider and may not immediately remove data from all reports, backups, or aggregated datasets.

Crash reporting and performance diagnostics may have separate controls. Disabling analytics does not prevent us from processing limited security, authentication, fraud-prevention, rate-limit, support, or legal records needed to operate and protect the service.

6. How We Share Information

We may share information with:

  • service providers and infrastructure vendors that help us operate the app, including Firebase and Google Cloud services for authentication, database, hosting, cloud functions, storage, push notifications, remote configuration, App Check, analytics, performance monitoring, crash reporting, moderation, and security
  • app-store and payment platforms, including Apple and Google, for purchases, subscriptions, refunds, receipt validation, entitlement handling, and fraud prevention
  • sign-in providers, such as Apple, Google, and Facebook, when you choose those authentication methods
  • map, geocoding, and location-service providers used to show maps, search locations, or support location features
  • moderators, reviewers, support personnel, or trust-and-safety vendors where needed to investigate abuse, reports, support requests, or policy violations
  • rights owners, complainants, users who submitted disputed content, service providers, advisors, courts, or authorities where needed to process intellectual property complaints, takedown requests, counter-notices, disputes, or repeat-infringer reviews
  • legal authorities, regulators, courts, app stores, or other third parties where required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, property, users, animals, or the service
  • a buyer, successor, or affiliate in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, or sale of assets

We do not sell personal data for money. We do not use app data for third-party cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not knowingly sell or share personal information of users under 16 as those terms may be defined under California privacy law.

7. User Content and Visibility

Some information you submit is designed to be visible to other users depending on your settings and how the feature works. For example:

  • your profile, profile image, dog profiles, dog images, and dog biography details may be visible according to your settings and feature use
  • park-board messages, park image submissions, park suggestions, and related contribution information may be visible to other users, reviewers, or moderators
  • favorites, follows, online status, sharing relationships, and activity indicators may be visible if you enable those options or use those features
  • direct messages and reports may be visible to intended recipients, moderators, reviewers, or support staff as necessary

Do not submit sensitive personal information, information about children, private addresses, payment details, health details, or other information you do not want processed under this Privacy Policy.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain your account, complete transactions, preserve safety and moderation records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Retention periods differ by data type. For example:

  • account, profile, dog profile, settings, and app activity data are generally retained while your account remains active
  • messages, support requests, reports, uploaded content, moderation records, and enforcement records may be retained as needed for safety, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and abuse prevention
  • copyright, trademark, intellectual property, takedown, counter-notice, and repeat-infringer records may be retained as needed to enforce our Terms, maintain legally relevant records, and resolve disputes
  • authentication diagnostics may be retained for a limited operational period, such as 90 days, unless needed longer for security, fraud, abuse, or legal reasons
  • upload sessions and short-lived operational tokens are retained only for a limited period needed to complete or validate the upload
  • purchase, subscription, receipt, tax, accounting, and app-store transaction records may be retained for the periods required or permitted by law and platform rules
  • analytics, crash, and performance data may be retained under provider settings unless you withdraw consent and/or request deletion where available
  • backup, disaster-recovery, security, audit, and legal records may persist for a limited time after account deletion

9. Account Deletion and Data Deletion Requests

You can request account deletion through the app by opening Settings, opening Account, and choosing Delete Account. If you cannot access the app, email support@alldogparks.app from or with reference to the email address or sign-in provider linked to your account.

When an account is deleted, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify personal data associated with that account, including profile information, dog profiles, uploaded user content, app preferences, and account-linked analytics deletion requests where applicable, subject to:

  • legal, accounting, tax, and app-store obligations
  • fraud, abuse, moderation, safety, and security retention needs
  • backup and disaster-recovery limits
  • records reasonably required to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims
  • data already visible to other users where deletion is not technically or legally required, such as copied messages, moderation context, or aggregated/de-identified statistics

Data deletion instructions are also available at https://alldogparks.app/data/deletion.

10. International Transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than your own, including countries where our service providers operate. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers, such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, data processing agreements, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

11. Children and Minimum Age

All Dog Parks is not intended for children under 16. You may not create an account or use the service if you are under 16.

If you are 16 or older but under the age of majority where you live, you may use the service only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian where required by law.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 and do not knowingly sell or share personal information of users under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal data in violation of this Privacy Policy, contact us at support@alldogparks.app and we will take appropriate steps.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including access controls, Firebase and Google Cloud security features, App Check or similar anti-abuse protections, rate limits, storage rules, and operational monitoring. However, no method of transmission, storage, or processing is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Your EEA, UK, and Other Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

  • access personal data
  • correct inaccurate personal data
  • delete personal data
  • object to or restrict certain processing
  • withdraw consent where processing relies on consent
  • receive a portable copy of certain data
  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

To exercise privacy rights, contact support@alldogparks.app. If you are in Finland or another EEA country, you may also contact your local data protection authority.

14. California and US State Privacy Notice

  • protected classification information only if you voluntarily include it in user content, which you should avoid
  • commercial information, such as subscription products, receipt validation data, entitlement status, and purchase history
  • internet, network, device, and app activity information, such as app interactions, diagnostics, security signals, analytics events if consented, and performance data
  • geolocation information, including approximate profile location and precise device location when you grant permission

We collect these categories from you, your device, authentication providers, app stores, service providers, other users who interact with you, and our own systems. We use and disclose them for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

California residents may have the right to know, access, delete, correct, and receive information about personal information we collect, use, disclose, sell, or share; to opt out of sale or sharing where applicable; to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable; and to be free from discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not use app data for third-party cross-context behavioral advertising. We use sensitive personal information, such as precise geolocation, only to provide requested app features, maintain security, comply with law, or for other purposes permitted by applicable privacy law, and not to infer characteristics unrelated to the service.

To exercise California or other US state privacy rights, contact support@alldogparks.app. We may need to verify your request before acting on it. You may use an authorized agent where required by law, but we may require proof of authorization and verification of your identity.
